Global CollabORATION

Brief

Scott USA had this wild idea to start a global art collaboration for their snowboarding products. They wanted it to feel like a creative chain letter, passing a canvas from artist to artist across different continents, each one adding their own piece to the story.

When the canvas made its way to South Africa, I was the third artist to contribute. Out of the entire African continent, I was the one they chose, and that meant a lot to me. It was an honor to be part of something so unique and far-reaching.

I painted a fisherman, which felt right considering the canvas had already crossed the ocean and still had a long journey ahead. At the time, I was going by the name "Further," inspired by Ken Kesey and the Merry Pranksters' bus. I worked that name into the artwork as both a signature and a nod to the distance between each artist involved.

That piece ended up being the hero image on the packaging and the t-shirt design, which was a surreal and proud moment.
